Mr. Wallace “David” Collins II is the Chief of Marketing, HQ Air Force Services Center, Joint Base San Antonio, TX. His headquarters team of 19 marketing professionals manage brand development, integrated marketing, and marketing strategies for Air Force Services’ portfolio of activities and programs including Air Force Bowling, Golf, Outdoor Recreation, Aero Clubs, Auto Hobby Shops, Arts & Craft Centers, Community Centers, Child and Youth Programs, Air Force Inns, Family Campgrounds, RV Storage, Rental Programs, Information Tickets & Tours, Food and Beverage Operations, and Open Houses/Airshows worldwide while also facilitating installation support, training, and development of more than 360 field marketers at over 100 operating locations. Mr. Collins is from San Antonio, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication, with a Business Administration Minor, from Texas A&M University in 2002. He was commissioned through the Corps of Cadets, Air Force ROTC program. After completing just over 4 years on active duty, he took a 5 year break in service to pursue a career in academia and public education, teaching fourth grade and kindergarten while serving as an administrative intern responsible facilitating strategic plans and process improvement events for school and district offices in the San Antonio area. Mr. Collins also earned a Master of Science degree in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in 2011 and is an Association of National Advertisers Certified Marketing Professional. Mr. Collins is a career Force Support Officer, who has served in all installation-level FSS functions through Squadron Command. He possesses additional duty qualifications as an Inspector General, Command Post OIC, and in Operations Management. His entrepreneurial and business experiences in the Air Force, and as a successful small business owner, for over 20 years, have proven invaluable to the Services business functions he has managed in the United States Air Force and to which he now provides trusted consultation at HQ AFSVC.
