Meaningful and authentic professional development has a clear outcome, effective modeling, and active participation.
When planning, consider how to surface the expertise in the room and build on it. All of your participants, even brand new teachers, know something. Your job when delivering Professional Development (PD) is figuring out how to build upon prior knowledge with new learning and content.
